At Miraku, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your account and associated data from our platform.
If you have connected your account using Facebook Login, you can also request data deletion directly through Facebook. This page provides instructions for both methods.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, we will permanently remove:
- Your account information (email, username, display name)
- Your learning progress and statistics
- Your SRS (Spaced Repetition System) data
- Your vocabulary and kanji progress
- Your mistake records
- Your lesson history
- Your user preferences and settings
- Any uploaded content or profile data
Note: Some data may be retained for legal or regulatory purposes (e.g., transaction records) for a limited period as required by law.
Method 1: Request Account Deletion via Email or Contact Form
To delete your Miraku account and all associated data, please contact us using one of the methods below:
Option 1: Send an Email
Send an email to contact@miraku.jp with the following information:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Your account email address or username
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
- Any additional information that may help us verify your identity
Option 2: Use the Contact Form
Visit our Contact Page and fill out the contact form with:
- Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
- Your account email address or username in the message
- Clear statement requesting account deletion
What Happens Next?
After receiving your request:
- We will verify your identity and account ownership
- Your account will be deactivated immediately upon verification
- All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before requesting deletion, you may want to export your learning progress data. If you need assistance exporting your data, please mention this in your deletion request.
Request Deletion Through Facebook (For Facebook Login Users)
If you signed up or logged in using Facebook, you can also request data deletion through Facebook's platform:
- Go to Facebook's Data Deletion Request page
- Select "Miraku" from the list of apps
- Follow Facebook's instructions to submit your deletion request
- Facebook will notify us of your request, and we will process it within 30 days
Alternatively, you can use the callback URL below when configuring your Facebook app's deauthorize callback:

Once you submit a deletion request:
- Your account will be deactivated immediately
- Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete
What Happens After Deletion
- You will no longer be able to access your account
- All your learning progress will be permanently lost
- You will need to create a new account if you wish to use Miraku again
- Your username may become available for other users
